Emilee and Patrick’s Casitas Estate Wedding was nothing short of a dream. Inspired by the venue, the Casitas Estate’s beauty guided Emilee’s vision. We had the pleasure of reflecting back on their special day with Emilee and Patrick, please read-on through their eyes:

What was your favorite part on your wedding day?

The entire day came together so seamlessly with countless special moments, but our favorite part was having the venue owners take us up to the very top of the property for sunset photos. We went off-road on a Gator while our guests were having dinner! It was an unforgettable experience and the best way to share a few special first moments to ourselves as husband and wife.

Why would you suggest hiring a wedding planner?

Because no one should be stressed out on their wedding day! Honestly having an amazing planner that knew our venue inside and out and how to host a perfect day from start to finish was invaluable. All of our vendors she recommended were stellar and having someone to answer all of your questions and keep you organized put us at ease so we could fully enjoy our day.

What inspired you most, when planning your wedding?

Our venue, the Casitas Estate, was a dream to plan our wedding around. My husband and I met at Cal Poly SLO and we knew we wanted our venue to showcase the gorgeous scenery surrounding Central California. The Spanish B&B was both intimate and romantic and the Spanish decor infused a colorful elegance to our day of details. We gave tiles as guest favors and I had a custom long sleeved top piece with Spanish inspired lace added to my dress to wear for the ceremony.

What surprised you on your wedding day?

It’s funny to say now, and everyone says this to couples beforehand, but the entire day REALLY flies by. I was surprised at the end of the night that mostly all of our guests were still there! The dance floor was pumping all night long and we had to usher people over to the send-off. It was truly the best day ever and we still love reliving it even now.
