Broody Equestrian Styled Photo Shoot at La Lomita Ranch styled by wedding planners Sandcastle Celebrations

Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of designing a Moody Equestrian styled shoot for the launch party at the amazing new venue, La Lomita Ranch located in San Luis Obispo. I’m especially excited to share this styled shoot because it was a collaboration with my fellow members of the San Luis Obispo Wedding Planners– an organization that I have been a member of since their establishment in 2015. In addition to the style shoot, a launch party was held shortly after with other talented vendors-and it was only natural that us designers and coordinators throw a party…couldn’t just let all the pretty creations go to waste!

While conceptualizing the design, I personally had the pleasure of partnering with Taryn, owner of Beloved Coordination for our styled shoot portion of the venue launch. Our design inspiration was drawn from the venue’s landscape and architectural design. La Lomita Ranch was once home to a lavish Arabian horse barn, that has now been expertly modified into eight luxurious private-entry suites. Spanish architecture and terra-cotta floor tiles are seen all over the exterior build of the venue, with two large (might I add immaculate barns just adjacent to the main building). With dark accents used on the barn doors and pops of color on the hand-painted Talavera tiles used throughout the venue- we decided for a dark and broody equestrian vibe.

Our beautiful friend and stunning photographer, Michelle Roller was kind enough to model with her beau, Peter– photos were captured by long-time friend and peer Sarah Kathleen Photo, needless to say we had a lot of fun directing and designing during the photo shoot.
