Madonna Inn Wedding

Daniel and Nicole’s wedding held at the whimsical Madonna Inn was inspired by Elvis and Pricilla’s wedding and the retro vibe provided by the venue that has become an iconic staple known by all who visit the Madonna Inn.

Below are a few words from both Daniel and Nicole about their wedding day:

1.     What was your favorite part on your wedding day? 

Nicole: Every single minute of it. Daniel: Seeing Nicole come down the staircase and down the aisle. Also, all the toasts.

2.     Why would you suggest hiring a wedding planner? 

There is no way we could have done this without a wedding planner. There are so many small details that would have gotten overlooked. Having a destination wedding (we live in Los Angeles), SandCastle Celebrations were such a calming force throughout and were also incredibly helpful in offering vendor recommendations and communicating with all the vendors. The day of any wedding is so stressful, but they kept all the wheels in motion, which allowed us to spend time with our friends and family instead of worrying about setting up and talking with vendors. 

3.     What inspired you most, when planning your wedding? 

The first vacation we ever took together was at the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo, and we wanted to get married there as a way to bring our friends and family back to this place that holds such a special place for us.  As a result, we were inspired heavily by the vibe of the location, and worked to keep that all very much alive in our wedding – from the color pattern being predominately pink, to the retro vibe of 1950’s and 1960’s weddings (Elvis’s wedding was a big inspiration), to the eccentric yet unpretentious feel of the hotel.

4.     What surprised you on your wedding day?

 We were pleasantly surprised by how smooth everything went, and how fast it all went by. After spending nearly a year planning our perfect day, when finally inside of it, it really all just goes by like a blur.
