Madonna Inn Wedding | Sandcastle Celebrations

Alexandre and Erin’s colorful July 5th, Madonna Inn Wedding did not disappoint the venue’s whimsical design and bubblegum pink interiors. Not to mention their 2,000 pink, red, and orange ballon drop to celebrate their vows as husband & wife! With the bountiful design opportunity provided by the Madonna Inn, we couldn’t help but jump with glee when the Madonna Inn’s Garden Room was decorated with a sea of bright balloons, tutus galore, golden cherubs and large crystal chandeliers twinkling.

A short history of this incredible venue, Madonna Inn was first constructed in 1958, with a modest 12 room offering. Soon the rooms grew to 28, then 40 rooms later on. Present day, Madonna Inn now offers 110 rooms- each uniquely decorated to accommodate different tastes. Trust us, you’ll need to book a stay if you haven’t visited yet!! Madonna Inn sits atop 1000 acres, located in San Luis Obispo- The Happiest City in America, Thanks Oprah! Many of the large rocks used for construction actually came from the Madonna property, some weighing over 200 tons each! Many wooden beams and doors where hand-carved by wood carvers onsite, along with an impressive hand-carved marble balustrade found in the Gold Rush dining room from the famous Hearst Castle. This iconic Inn is bursting with history and fun to be had, it is no wonder Alexandre and Erin picked such an iconic venue that captured their spirit.

We are truly captivated by the images, taken by the talented photographer Lauren Cate. The images tell the story of Alexandre and Erin’s love for one another and the wonderful people they chose to surround themselves with on their wedding day. Interesting fact about Lauren, she had never truly been behind a camera until her first day of photography school. Lauren’s love and passion for moments captured on film inspired her photography school experience. It was there that Lauren fell in love with light, and how it influences everyday moments into much more than just a photo- it creates a mood or emotion. We highly suggest visiting her site to learn more about her wonderful passion for photography and her impressive photo gallery.
